Cal slipped the gun from its holster, looked at it and cursed himself. The damned silencer was back at the motel, sleeping comfortably in his travel bag. He slid the gun back into the Galco. Things would have to be handled slightly differently from what he had originally intended. But it didn't really matter. Not so long as they were handled.

Without really thinking about it, Cal undid his belt and pulled it free of the pant loops. Strangulation was not as expedient as a shot to the back of the head, but it was certainly just as final.

Approaching Blake/Ross as silently as possible, Cal was relieved that the German shepherd he was walking was not an adult and was more interested in the sights and smells of his surroundings than the surroundings themselves. Although not really believing it (considering the man he was stalking), Cal allowed himself a momentary fantasy. This is going to be a- He almost laughed out loud at the pun that sprang solely from the situation. –a real walk in the park.
